This year, we are excited to welcome four new team members to our team: Wes, Taylor, Redick, and Ray. We are grateful to have new voices, experiences, and perspectives joining us as we continue our work in the community.
Our goal this year is to connect with more people, schools, and communities and make important information available to anyone who could benefit from it. We want to help people make more informed decisions, recognize when someone may need support, and feel more comfortable having conversations about substance use, prevention, and recovery.
We have a strong team made up of people with different experiences. Some of us have been part of this work for a while, while others are bringing new perspectives and ideas. Together, we can continue learning from one another while sharing information that can make a difference.
As we continue working to educate others and help address the substance use epidemic, it is important that we don’t stop talking about the issue simply because the numbers may be declining. Progress is something to celebrate, but it doesn’t mean the problem has disappeared. When conversations and prevention efforts fade away, communities can become less prepared to recognize and respond to new challenges.
That is why we want to keep the conversation going. Education, awareness, and open conversations can help reduce stigma and make it easier for people to ask questions, seek support, or help someone they care about.
We also want schools to know that we are here and willing to help. If your school is interested in having our team come speak, share information, or have a conversation with students and staff, we would love to hear from you.
This year, our goal is simple: reach more people, start more conversations, and continue working together to make our communities stronger and better informed.
