That’s right! If you’ve been following along with our blog posts this year, you’ll know that we have a newly-expanded team of incredible program facilitators that have the capacity to present in three different schools at one time! So, while one part of our team was in Bemidji this week, another was servicing the metro area, and another was lucky enough to get out to western Minnesota! We visited Breckenridge, West Central, Herman Norcross, Ortonville, and Browns Valley schools, and our experience was overwhelmingly positive everywhere we went. I also need to give a big shout out to Breckenridge Public School District and their staff for having Narcan located in every one of their school’s AED units. This is an incredibly effective approach to combatting the opioid epidemic and keeping our youth safe. And last but not least, thank you to all of the schools in western Minnesota we spoke to this fall and in previous seasons for being open to creating a dialogue about opioids and addiction with the young people in our communities, we couldn’t do our work without amazing folks like you!
And if you were wondering where the three of us found such a magnificent otter (forty feet of magnificence to be precise), that’s Otto the Otter, who lives in Fergus Falls. He doesn’t bite!
