Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! The season is turning as we enter many peoples’ favorite time of year. Family returns home, friends gather, and we spend time with those we love and whom we may not always get to see. Here at CTO, we think that the holiday signifies a time to spend with loved ones, but also to reflect on the role of gratitude in our lives.
Whether someone is struggling with a substance use disorder, engaging in early recovery, or enjoying an independent life, one’s relationship with gratitude often seeps into every aspect of their daily lives. We invite you to take a moment this holiday season and ask yourself, what are the things that make my life brighter, and am I regularly feeling and expressing gratitude for them? This isn’t just a healthy coping skill for the hard times, as we can often forget. Gratitude can be a core part of living a mindful and harmonious life with those around us. In today’s world that feels like it is only speeding up, please take a moment this Thanksgiving to slow down, and be merry!
Let’s Celebrate Thanksgiving! What Are You Thankful For?
